Hey, Jai here. This is my journal where I brain dump interesting things i’ve learnt or done recently. You’re in the 0.5% of my audience that will see this, so I hope ya like it. Here’s the latest (prob like a 4 minute read). I’ve always wanted to invent a sport. Something like Spikeball or table tennis or frisbee. A game that will bring as much joy and growth to others as it did for me growing up. I’m almost convinced I was the first to introduce Spikeball to Australia. Film photo for the vibes (thanks Liam) My friend group played it all day. I even competed in a few state comps. Today I woke up with a message from the CEO of Spikeball asking he he can send us some of their unreleased nets to try out. Who knows, maybe we’ll design one together? A stupid example of how you can create your own luck by just putting things on the internet. And building things people wanna be a part of. Last time I sent an email I mentioned we were looking for a filmmaker. Well, a guy called Felix filmed and edited this and emailed back. A week later he was on a plane to Alaska to live with me and 13 other AOM members at one of our Founder Residencies. His life is going to change because he was willing to spend a few hours of his own time on something that could have led nowhere. There’s a lesson in that I think. Here’s a lil vid that he made at the Alaska house too. Fucking vibe imo. I dropped a new YT vid from my time in New Zealand. I’ve travelled a lot but there’s something seriously special about NZ. I can’t explain it. I listened to a podcast about Jeff Bezos’ shareholder letters and tbh I can’t believe this shit is free for us to consume. I hope you listen too. Here’s one lesson I love: Try 10 new things and maybe only 1 out of 10 of them works… most people would say those are poor odds. What they miss is that the 1 thing can have a 100x or 1000x returns. You should take those odds every time. Try more things. Fail at most of them. You’ll still win in the end. And while i’m on the topic of learning, watch this pod on YT too: How to Build a $1M business with AI. As soon as I finished it I sent this message to our team. You should take it seriously too. We launched a new web app for Spaces. It basically curates all 400+ unique AirBNBs that we have saved and puts them in one place. Check it out. First 5 people to reply to this email, i’ll send you the code for free. We re-jigged our entire funnel for Art of Mondays too. This will get us to $10M/yr. Start with our IG highlights and go down the rabbit hole if you’re curious. Part of the deep work with Evan has been around team. Putting people in the right seats on the bus, and incentivising them to do their best work. We just opened a bunch of opportunites to join the AOM team across content, product & ops. We’ll hire 10+ people in the coming month or so. If you’re a superstar, find a creative way to reach us and share your skillset. Start here. Lots of upside as the company grows. Work from wherever you want, as long as you want. We care about outcomes not hourly rates. If you’re obsessed, even better. Some roles will include travel, and surrounding yourself with people that will accelerate your growth tenfold. I’ve just spent a week in NYC with Alina. Honestly, there's such a romance about the city, and this trip really lived up to the hype. Vibes below. Been in Austin most of this week (more on that in the next Journal entry). LA tomorrow until the end of the month. Holler if you're around! I’ll leave you with a question to ponder. Are you working on your life’s work, or just something that’s good enough for now? I say go straight to the good stuff that’ll set your soul on fire, otherwise you’re wasting your potential. See you when I have something worth saying. Big love, Journal Entry // July 15th, 2025 |
